The ASG-Cypress™ Enterprise Output Manager provides extensive queue and printer management for organizations of all sizes. It allows operators to remotely monitor the status of print jobs and control the delivery of content to any enterprise destination. Through a single, easy-to-use graphical user interface, you can view and control print operations for all output devices on your network. You can also control devices and jobs (e.g., job queues, stock assignments), suspend/resume printing, reroute output, and view documents before, during, and after the print process through a single interface regardless of originating application, platform, or page description language.

You can also quickly determine the real-time status of any device. If desired, you can establish job retention and purge timeouts to permit automated processing, as well as create and use hold queues for print jobs. These jobs are then monitored directly from the print queue for easy identification. The grouping of printers into logical and/or geographic units further extends your ability to effectively manage your output environment.

The document access tracking component provides a single source for recording, extracting, and analyzing all statistics and events that occur in enterprise output environments. You now have a simple solution that enables critical print environment management functions, including load balancing between devices, resource utilization, billing and charge back, network bandwidth consumption, and stock inventory forecasting.

Via the Report Distribution Manager module, ASG-Cypress also incorporates a single report distribution system for your enterprise, regardless of the computing platform or software applications. Reports are automatically identified, parsed, and bundled together in a consolidated package based on unique business rules, regardless of the originating application. Further, this module provides customized report distribution to each recipient's preferred output device and location (e.g., printers, e-mail, electronic inbox, fax, and the Web, etc.). Report delivery is scheduled based on each unique report type, whether immediate, weekly, monthly, or time delayed, to ensure that all necessary applications have been completed before a report is released.

In addition to output management and report distribution capabilities, ASG-Cypress incorporates a truly innovative document search and retrieval function named Knowledge Builder. Not only does the ASG-Cypress Knowledge Builder permit your users to find, view, and use the content contained in any document that they have security rights to view, but it also eliminates the need for multiple document archiving systems, application viewers, and search engines. Documents are archived in a format that enables superior access and retrieval at the page level. Your colleagues can quickly access all or part of a document, and extract the information they require. Documents can be located using full text or business specific customized indexes. Plus, documents can be viewed in seconds without requiring access to the original authoring application, which can save considerable time.
